I’m being bullied, harassed or discriminated against
If you’re being bullied, harassed or discriminated against, you’re protected by law. Employers are responsible for preventing bullying and harassment in the workplace.
You should see if you can try and resolve the problem informally first by speaking with your employer, if you feel safe to do so. If you cannot, you should talk to your:
- human resources (HR) department
- trade union representative
If this does not work, you can make a formal complaint using their employer’s grievance procedure. If this does not work and you're still being harassed, you can take legal action at an employment tribunal.
